On 22 January 2016, the grand finale of the “Gründungsgarage Volume V” took place. Nine student teams presented their start-up projects at the Erzherzog Johann-Saal at the Styrian Chamber of Commerce.

Participants and mentors, Gründungsgarage Volume V

In the context of the “Gründungsgarage”, students come up with concrete ideas and develop their own business models in interdisciplinary teams in the timeframe of one semester. Participation is open to students of all faculties and universities. They are accompanied and supported by experienced mentors. They can use the different core competencies and experiences of their respective mentors and benefit from individual counseling sessions.

The course is organized by Center of Entrepreneurship and Applied Business Studies at the University of Graz and the Institute of General Management and Organization at the Graz University of Technology.

This time nine teams participated in the final presentations of the “Gründungsgarage” 5th edition. The ideas ranged from alternative energy to combating ransomware to a platform for the coordination of team events. The audience named the project FITCRAFT the winner, a supplier of customized fitness programs. It received a voucher of € 1.000 for legal advice from LIKAR Rechtsanwälte.
