The transfer of entirely new technologies into industrial applications is very often subjected to a variety of barriers. Uncertainty in dealing with the new technologies or a lack of knowledge about the new possibilities and potentials are acting depressed on the establishment of new technologies.

Therefore, the Industrial Liaison Department of Montanuniversitaet Leoben as a competent partner of the WTZ offers knowledge and technology transfer through Experience Exchange Round Table Discussions.
Within this EERT discussions our and invited experts are giving a comprehensive introduction about the features of new technologies; showing strengths of innovative new approaches but also highlight the necessity of continued development. In an open dialogue, the experts exchange their knowledge with the participants.

EERT on Generative Production Technologies
The Industrial Liaison Department currently operates an EERT on additive manufacturing. The generative or additive manufacturing currently forms a technological hype that opens up a range of new options in the manufacturing of components, but brings many unanswered questions just for user community.

The EERT on Generative Production Technologies deals with the following topics:
• New processes of additive manufacturing
• Process simulations
• Materials for additive manufacturing (metal, plastics, ceramics and hybrids)
• Design guidelines and new design approaches for additive manufactured components
• Integration of additive manufacturing into existing production lines and new business models
• Quality assurance and testing technology for processes and additive manufactured components.
