Innovative Science for Successful Business: Science Meets Economy on Partnering Day.

‚Innovative Science for Successful Business‘– this was the motto of the Wissenstransferzentrums Süd on Partnering Day, which took place on September 29, 2015. „The goal of the international Partnering Day is to develop and strengthen cooperation between innovative companies and university scientists”. This goal was a common element that unified the participants. Nearly 100 participants from Austria, Germany, Great Britain, Slovenia, Serbia, the Czech Republic and Hungary took advantage of this one-time opportunity to create networks. Researchers could showcase their ideas and expertise right on-site to interested companies, while company representative could publicise their needs. In this way, both received a direct benefit, and the sustainable cooperation formed through personal discussions paved the way to a successful future.
In addition, the scientific program included short oral presentations and poster presentations from international participants in various research areas. The keynote lecture “Open Innovation and the Search for Differentiated Medicine”, which was presented by Karin Conde-Knape, representative of the Johnson & Johnson Innovation Centre in London, rounded out the program perfectly.
